About

A little bit about me: my name is Dylan Woods and I’m a graduate of Boston University. My major was journalism, but that’s only because majoring in blogging wasn’t an option. That’s why I created this blog; to do the type of writing that comes natural to me but professors didn’t seem to appreciate on a final exam.

I’ve been writing on this blog off and on for a few years running now, and for a while I thought I only wanted to have a sports blog. However, I’m now starting to learn that may not be the case. I think I want to do something else (not 100 percent sure what) but it’s gonna be gangbusters. And yeah, I’m confident. So what? Last time I checked it wasn’t one of the deadly sins.

Still, you should know that I’m a huge Boston sports fan, born and raised. Being at Fenway Park is the closest I’ve been to reaching heaven, and the Celtics will always have my heart as the first Boston team I fell in love with.

The Patriots always won when I was growing up, so they were easy to root for. And the Bruins I’ve only recently begun to follow but they’re starting to grow on me just like all the others.

As cheesy as it sounds, I consider those teams to be another member of my family. It’s not quite the same as a sibling relationship, but perhaps second cousins that you consider more like first cousins, if that makes any shred of sense. I imagine that they’ll remain a big part of this blog whether my reader count stays at two (thanks Mom and Dad) or climbs like Miley Cyrus’ high notes.

I’m also pumped to start writing about things like music, books, or even a dream I had last night. Who knows, I might even drop a weather blog out there if I feel like it. Things could get NUTS up in here.

Either way, I want to start exploring and expanding more parts of my personality through this blog. I’ve found that writing can be a great tool, and I want to keep learning how to use it in the right way.

But enough about me. Where do you, the reader, come into the fold?

Well, I’ll try to make you laugh, but you might not think I’m funny. So I can’t promise any laughter.

I guess I can try to teach you something, but you might already know it. Darn, strike two…

You know what? Here’s all I can promise: I’m gonna be myself. If you’re picking up what I’m putting down, I invite you to stay, put your feet up, and grab a Sprite.

But if you aren’t catching the vibes? Well that’s fine too. I’m sure there are plenty of other places on the Internet to find happiness. Ever been to the pet supplies section on Amazon? You would love it.
